The Mickey Alerts app is on Google Play for Android phones today, with the same features as the iPhone app on the App Store. Until today, Android owners could use the website and get alert texts; now you can use the park-day app, too.
Getting signed in
The app is free to download. If you already use Mickey Alerts on the website, sign in with that same phone number. We'll text you a 6-digit code. No email or password to remember, and no new account to set up.
Your trips, plan and alerts are already there.
Your park day in the app
The park-day features are free with every Mickey Alerts account, including the free trial. On “Today”, “What do I do next?” gives you a short, ranked list of moves from where you're standing. It looks at live waits, your Lightning Lane return times, your reservations and how far each option is to walk. “Schedule” holds the day itself and re-plans it when a line spikes or a ride goes down. The “Map” tab gives you turn-by-turn walking directions to your next stop.
Say a ride goes down mid-morning. Your schedule re-plans around the closure, and you can open “Today” and tap “What do I do next?” to see your options from where you are. Pick your next stop, then use “Map” for the walk there.
You can still do your trip planning on the website. Most people build the week there and run each park day from the phone. It's the same plan in both places, so a change on the website shows up in the app, and a change in the app shows up on the website.
Fast Forward is in free preview
Lightning Lane Fast Forward is in a free preview for every account right now. Open “Today” and look for the Fast Forward entry.
Pick the Lightning Lanes you want, and Fast Forward books them when your booking window opens. It keeps moving them to earlier return times for the whole party. When you check in at a ride in the app, it books your next one.
Connect your Walt Disney World or Disneyland account to use it. You add Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disney's app, and Fast Forward does the booking.
Keep Disney's app on your phone, too. It holds your tickets and Lightning Lane passes, which you scan at the gate and the ride.
Your alerts and text settings
Open “Alerts” to see every alert you're running, start a new hotel, dining, DVC points or experience alert, pause or restart one, or run it now. Your plan decides which alerts you can run, just as it does on the website. Plans are bought on mickeyalerts.com, not in the app.
Your alerts still arrive by text.
The app adds push notifications for things like a Lightning Lane moving earlier or your plan needing a look. To turn alert texts off or set overnight quiet hours, go to “Account” → “Text messages & quiet hours”. Those settings are available only in the app.
Help from your phone
Plaidy, our Mickey Alerts assistant, is in the app under “Account” → “Concierge”. “Talk to a person” is there, too, when you want to reach us.
