Disney describes Space Mountain in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom as a rocket ride into the furthest reaches of outer space: a roller-coaster ride in the dark, past shooting stars, celestial satellites and streaking orbs of light.
In Disney's words the rocket dips and careens into the inky blackness while a futuristic soundtrack echoes around riders, before it is drawn into a swirling wormhole.
